Paula has served as Executive Director since April 2002, but served as a dedicated volunteer for approximately 8 years before becoming a staff member.  As a post-abortive woman, Paula’s desire is to make sure the Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin provides the most caring, acurate, professional and respectful care to each and every woman who comes to the PHC facing an unexpected pregnancy.  As a mother of 3 children (18, 15 & 7), Paula is equally passionate about helping women experience joy in the journey of motherhood by providing education and support to women and their families.

Kathryn, CPST, Mentor

Kathryn has been employed with the PHC since July 2005, but served as a dedicated volunter (including Board Treasurer) for nearly 10 years prior to becoming a staff member.  Kathryn not only provides mentoring for a caseload of approximately 25 women, she is also the SafeRiders Car Safety Seat Distribution Program Manager.  As a mother of 2 grown children, Kathryn has experienced nearly the full gamot of motherhood and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience into a mentoring or education session.  Kathryn patiently awaits the day that she will be granted the opportunity to become a grandparent.

Sue, RN, Nurse Manager

Sue has been the Center’s Nurse Manager since April 2009 and provides pregnancy screening, options mentoring, education on fetal development and prenatal nutrition as well as performing limited obstetrical ultrasounds.  Sue brings with her 40+ years of nursing experience (including labor and delivery) and, as the mother of 5 grown children and grandmother to 14 grandchildren, she also brings a wealth of parenting experience and wisdom to mentoring and education sessions.

Jessica first began serving the PHC as an intern in the Fall of 2009, then as an AmeriCorp Mentor Member from January 2010 through July 2011.  On August 1, 2011, the Pregnancy Help Center was excited to welcome Jessica as a part-time staff member providing mentoring and education to pregnant and parenting women.  She worked her way up quickly to become our Parenting Program Manager.  Jessica also provides services every week on the campus of Angelina College to pregnant and parenting students.  Jessica is enjoying the journey of motherhood as the proud mom of a 10 year old boy and an infant girl.
