The following positions are available for those seeking to serve at a place where they can make a positive difference in the lives of expectant and new parents.
- Nurse Assistant – Looking for someone to serve as an assistant to the Nurse Manager. Duties would include making welcome packets, preparing backpacks, greeting clients, assisting clients with paperwork, assisting clients with application process for Medicaid, assisting nurse in the ultrasound room, and scheduling return visits when necessary. Previous nursing experience or certifications are not necessary for this position.
- Parenting Mentor – Looking for dependable men and women with personal parenting experience to provide pregnancy and parenting education and support to the parents served by the PHCOL. This position would require a consistent 5 hour shift per week (preferably on the same day). Training on education curriculum, mentoring practices, and reimbursable grant requirements would be provided.
- Housekeeping – Looking for someone to spend 3 – 4 hours each Friday afternoon or Saturday helping to maintain a clean work environment. It would be best if a team of 3-4 people provided this service, rather than one person (mostly for security reasons). If you have a youth group, homeschool group, friends, etc. that could provide this much needed service, we would be very appreciative.
- Resource Room Volunteer – Looking for a volunteer willing to serve one morning or afternoon (approximately 3-4 hours) helping to restock the resource room with baby items. This may require repackaging diapers, sorting, folding or hanging clothes, putting out toys & other items, pricing items with voucher stickers, and tidying up the room. It is important that this room is fun, organized, and that the items are easily available for clients to purchase with their vouchers. We are currently looking for someone on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
